Description

4-Chloro benzophenone is the first chemical step in the Srinija cetirizine value chain. It is reduced to 4-chloro benzhydrol and subsequently coupled with piperazine to build the diaryl carbinol pharmacophore of the second-generation antihistamine cetirizine.
